China Glaze Magnetix

I’m a bit of a closet beauty junky. I say closet because while I’m pretty simple with my own beauty routine, I can’t get enough of beauty blogs and I go crazy each time I’m in Sephora buying makeup that I don’t really have the talent to apply properly. I have a drawer full of pretty pallets from Nars, Dior, and MAC but I’m pretty clueless when it comes to the art of properly blending eyeshadow. As for hair, it’s a small miracle (and a good blowdryer) that I can actually do my own. However, nail polish is one item that I don’t make a total mess of. When Nail Polish Canada invited me to try out the new China Glaze Magnetix polishes I was pretty excited. The Magnetix polishes come with a little magnet that you hold over each nail that allow a design to take shape. I already have a few China Glaze polishes in my rotation, they have a great consistency that make application pretty easy and smooth. The colors I received from the Magnetix collection are no exception. They’re both a pretty, vibrant color, and very smooth and easy to apply. The directions suggest one coat per nail and even with this limited application the colors come out brilliantly. It took me a few tries to get a hang of properly holding the magnet above my fingers but when I did, the result was a subtle but eye catching design.

That is SO cool! I love that the pattern is so subtle and you have to do a bit of a double take to see it. Stunning, will have to try it soon!

I was really pleased with how it turned out, hardly over the top but so pretty and subtle!
