When I opened the box from Necessary Clothing (thanks ladies, you rock!) to find this dress nestled in tissue paper, I instantly knew I had to channel my inner Brigitte Bardot. The cutouts on the sides are thoroughly modern and totally on trend, but something about the shape of this sweet little dress made me think of the French bombshell zipping about the winding roads of the Cote d’Azur in a convertible with her scarf whipping in the wind. Alas, I’m currently a few thousand miles from said French paradise but that didn’t keep me from doing my best Bardot imitation with this look. Paired with these great Miu Miu heels that I’ve had since high school, I think I captured a bit of Bardot’s joie de vivre. Make sure to pop on over to Necessary Clothing to check out their killer selection of dresses that seem to be updated each time I check out the site. Also, make sure to check back later this week to see what other piece was keeping this fabulous dress company amidst the tissue paper in the care package from Necessary Clothing!

You can hear the cups falling out of men’s hands when you walk by in that! You look stunning in it…

thanks so much Natalie, scarfs are the best for combatting summer heat and hair. I’ll put together a post on my favorite ways to wear them, thanks for the great idea!
