On an unrelated but no less important note, World AIDS Day is coming up on December 1st. For the past eleven years, the brands that make up L’Oreal Professional Products Division and UNESCO have collaborated on the initiative Hairdressers Against AIDS. This global advocacy campaign has been committed to spreading awareness throughout the community on a global scale. Over a million L’Oreal hairdressers in 26 countries have been educated about HIV/AIDS as part of their training. As a result of the unique relationship many stylists share with their clients, they are then able to effectively pass on their knowledge to others within their community.
To get involved, L’Oreal Professional Products Division and UNESCO are inviting you to join in on spreading the word by tweeting with the hashtag #HAASeeingRed.
