Top of the World

August 31, 2011

The boyfriend jean is one of those items that you end up admiring on other people but you’re a bit wary to try yourself. Or at least that’s how I felt before I scooped up this popular style by Current/Elliott. Needless to say, I’m now a total convert to this easy and comfortable denim cut. Many choose to pair their boyfriend jeans with a great pair of heels and while this does look great, a more casual way to style these jeans is with a great ballet flat or even a pair of gladiators. The ballet flats that I chose are by one of my favorite companies, Pretty Ballerinas. Their outpost located on Victoria (right off of Sherbrooke) is pretty much a candy store for me with it’s pink interior and row upon row of gorgeous ballet flats that are beautifully made in Spain.

WTF?! An Ode to Floggers

I enjoy long walks through Neiman Marcus, red soled shoes, skinny black pants, oversized cocktail rings, obnoxious bows, nipped waists and full skirts.

Instagram post 2194767497894817354_187474987 It’s hard to choose a favorite piece from my wardrobe but this dress is pretty special. It’s one of the few pieces I’ve been able to track down of my great aunt’s work. Her eponymous line Hannah Troy was popular during the mid twentieth century. Known for bringing many of the great Italian designers State side during that time, she also created her own pieces as well and is credited with creating the petite size. #fashionhistory #vintagestyle #vintageclothing #vintagefashion #vintagedress
