Wedding Weekend

Instead of getting sucked into the insanity that was Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, Darling Boyfriend and I attended the wedding of a wonderful couple who have become dear friends to us. What do you get when you mix a Brazilian bombshell with a house music loving Ukrainian? You get a crazy fun wedding with great food, free flowing cocktails, and tons of dancing (kudos to Darling Boyfriend for having secret waltzing and merengue abilities). Continuing my campaign to prove Darling Boyfriend wrong in that I WILL wear everything in my closet, I dug into the racks and came up with this gorgeous Nicole Miller gown that I purchased a few years ago while working for the only independently owned Nicole Miller boutiques that are both based in Philadelphia. The pattern reminds me of a stained glass window and for my jewelry I tried to echo the vampy colours found within the fabric.

You look absolutely wonderful! I love how you balanced the fresh hues of the dress with those urban vampy nails! And the braid in your hair adds such an elegant touch…love it!

I think its my favorite piece from my Nicole Miller days. It was fun to dress it up with heels and hair instead of gladiators and a cardigan for work. One of the pieces that got away for me were the “Carly” earrings, they go with almost everything!
